BSI, LLC announced the availability of Revit models for download via their website. The Revit models will be available for the XGuard and ZGuard food shield products. The company said they plan on releasing Revit models for their complete line of counters, sinks, floor troughs, and other products over the coming months.
BSI product manager, Andrew Padden, said, "We are committed to be abreast of the latest technological developments and there is no question the design process is changing fast. Providing these Revit models allows BSI to provide a new level of service to our customers." Padden also noted, "Designing a foodservice facility is a complex process, and making Revit design files available for two of the most popular
BSI products is just one more way we can help ensure the design goes as smoothly as possible.
Revit enables architects and designers to see a full model in both vertical and horizontal forms, something that has not been possible through use of Computer Aided Design (CAD). The benefits of Revit have prompted the architectural industry to aim to adopt the popular 3D modelling software throughout the entire industry.
